Memorial Day Weekend

So for all my followers out there ;), I did promise that I would post about our mini-vacation to Innsbrook, but unfortunately there is not much to report. And for some reason I did not get my camera out hardly at all!
Keith and I waited out the storms on Wednesday evening before heading out there.
Thursday was gloomy so we made a quick trip to Bloomenhauf to pick up some wine and visited the Carters outlet. This is where we got just a few pictures of Liam enjoying the winery. :)

Friday we went for a long walk and had yummy BBQ for dinner.
Saturday was spent pretty much lounging around the house.
Sunday, Keith went to play golf with J.C. and mom and Liam got to hang out by ourselves! Then we had our first "official" BBQ of the summer with Grandma and Grandpa, Bill and Karen and the Krohns. We also visited the lake where Liam dipped his toes in the very chilly water.
I do think Liam started getting his first tooth this weekend though, which made for some restless nights. Hopefully that thing will come in soon and we can get back to a good sleeping schedule.
So sorry there was not much to report.
Hope that everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. I just wish that the official start of summer did not have to bring this dang 90 degree weather. What the heck happened to spring???

Our Little Holy Child :)

We had a beautiful day yesterday for Liam's baptism. Here are a few from his big day.

Here is Liam with his Uncle J.C, his Uncle Bill and his Uncle Bill's ridiculous hair.
The ceremony:
Liam with his godfathers, yes two godfathers, as Keith says these are progressive times...
And Liam with his parents (even though not a great picture of Keith :))

And with both sets of grandparents:

We went to my mom's afterwards for lunch. I wish I had taken a picture of the food because it was quite the spread. Here is a picture of the cake though.

We got a great little college fund started for him that I am super excited about. Now I think we just need about 250 times that amount we have to be able to send him to college in 18 years. :)
Another picture too cute not to share, Liam and his cousin Carly in their matching car seats completely zonked out.
And just cause I loved it so much, here is the link to the Etsy seller where I bought his adorable blue seersucker monogrammed romper. Etsy is the greatest!

If anyone has any other pictures of the day, please send them my way. Thanks to all that came. We had a great time.

He is Growing Up So Fast

I haven't posted any pictures in a while, so I thought I would share some "milestones" that Liam has accomplished in the past week or so.
When placed on his tummy, he is now able to hold his head up.
He can now sit up with the assistance of his Bumbo seat.

He has also found his feet and loves trying to get them in his mouth!

And of course smiles, smiles and more smiles.:)

Liam's baptism is this weekend on the 22nd. Check back for more fun family pictures.

Anyone Know of a Part Time Job that Pays a Ton of Money? ;)

Been really missing my baby boy lately. Coming to work each morning is like pulling teeth and if someone says the wrong thing to me, I might just start crying. I really wish I could just quit my job and stay home with Liam. Unfortunately that is not possible. So... if anyone knows of a part time job where I can still make the same amount of money and for some reason you are not jumping on this amazing opportunity yourself, please let me know.
Thank you!

Our Two Year Anniversary

This past Saturday, Keith and I celebrated our two year anniversary. This was a big day for us because it was the first time that we left Liam overnight.
We dropped Liam off with my mom and headed down town. We started the day at with lunch at the new sports bar at Lumiere. We then played penny slots and roulette for a bit. The rest of the day consisted of bowling and drinks at Flamingo Bowl, Photo Hunt and drinks at The Pour House, more drinks at the Hilton, dinner and MORE drinks at Lucas Park (absouletly delicious by the way) and a night cap chocolate martini back at the Hilton. I am not sure how I survived considering that was the most I have drank by far in over a year. :)
We had an awesome time even though we missed the baby a ton.
Next big event planned: a nice 5 day Memorial day weekend with Liam's first trip to Innsbrook. Check back for updates!

Happy Mother's Day To Me!

It really is strange to hear people tell me "Happy Mother's Day!". I mean I know I am a mom now, but to be able to celebrate the day with my family is just weird.
So today for "my day" I wanted to go to the Botanical Gardens. When we woke up, it was raining. I was for sure that would put a kibosh on my day. But to my surprise, the day turned out to be gorgeous! My mom, Keith, Liam and I went down for lunch and a beautiful walk around the garden.
We loaded Liam up with sunscreen and made him wear his silly sun-hat that was way too big.
We got a few great family pictures...
Everything down there was so pretty and Liam was such a good baby. Here is a picture of the peonies, some of my favorite flowers.

And lastly, I have to give a shout-out to my mom! She is the greatest and I would not be where I am without here. Not a great picture of Liam though :)...

Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and family out there! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The Start of a Family... The Start of a Blog

So I have wanted to start a blog for a while now, and actually Keith has wanted me to start a Facebook page for the two of us but I thought now that we are officially a family, now is as good of a time as ever to get started. On this blog, I will share happenings with Keith and I and of course baby Liam! Turner might even show up time and again. Hopefully all of our family and friends can follow our little family here.
So where are we right now.... Liam born on 2-2-11 is now 3 months old and doing amazing. He is such a happy baby always smiling at the funny things Mom and Dad come up with to entertain him. (The picture on the top of the page is proof of this!)
In the past week, we have made the transition from Liam sleeping in a sleeper in our room to a crib in his own room. We thought for sure this was going to lead to a few sleepless nights. We decided to not make any plans last weekend and just fully prepare ourselves for a rough couple of nights. Friday night came. Liam fell asleep in my arms and I very gingerly lowered him into his crib. I held my breath and backed out of the room slowly. To our amazement, he did not wake up until 3:00 am. I feed him and he went right back to sleep. Since then sleeping in his crib has really been a non-issue. We even had two nights this week where he slept through the night for the first time!!
Liam is also getting a lot better with his head control. I put him down for tummy time the other day and he loved it. Picking his head up and looking all around. Mom couldn't be prouder.
So that is what is going on with the Costellos right now! We have lots of plans for the summer and can't wait to share those and lots of pictures with everyone on the blog! Keep checking back for updates.
And since every blog post should have a picture, here is a picture of Liam a couple weeks ago. On Mondays and Fridays he goes over to Miss Karen's house. Here he is with his girlfriend Ella. :)
