A Quick Trip to Chicago

Last Saturday we drove up to Chicago for a quick trip. Just a holiday cocktail party with the family and then back Sunday morning. Liam was an absolute champ until we got to the club and the kid was everywhere. Also I had a cold which I am still getting over so the pictures aren't the best, but here are a few. At least the rest of my family is photogenic!

 All the men.
 Most of the ladies.
Another family picture ruined by me. :(
The "terror" in action.

Christmas Card Fail

I feel like a major part on my holidays have fallen through the cracks. I have yet to send out a Christmas card. I had so many ideas of what I thought would make a cute card but with a highly active toddler and a camera I have yet to fully figure out, it is near impossible to get a good picture. My guess is you all will be receiving New Year's card and who knows what picture will be on there.
In the mean time here are a few "fail" pictures for your enjoyment.
Trying to bribe with fruit snacks!

Playing Catch Up

We are 6 days from Christmas and I have yet to post about Thanksgiving yet.
I had a nice long Thanksgiving break which meant we were able to squeeze in lots of family time. We had wonderful meals at both my dad's and my mom's, Liam had his first cookie making experience and his second hair cut and we got all our Christmas decorations up nice and early.

Whoa!

First things first, I realize I am super behind on my posting but Google was acting up on me and I just got it working again. With that being said...

Christmas decorations went up over Thanksgiving break and all we hear from Liam now is "Whoa!!".
Lots to post from our long break but here are a few pictures of the house looking festive.

Fall Weekend

Yes, I know I haven't blogged in forever. No, there aren't any real excuses.

So now that that is out of the way. We had a great weekend in Innsbrook. We headed out early Friday morning. It was chilly and overcast but we still got a beautiful walk in.
Liam loves playing copy cat these days. He had a great time trying to throw rocks in the lake just like Daddy and then ultimately just watching the pro at work.
That night we watched the Cardinals lose after some chili and then off to bed.
The next day we got ready to go to the pumpkin patch. Before we left I had to get some pictures of Liam outside on the porch.
Compare those to these taken just one year ago!
Then on to the pumpkin patch for some fried food, punkin chunkin, pony rides and more! Liam was in heaven... until he got crabby. :) We had to peel him out of the sandbox with all the trucks.
Last year Liam sat in the wagon with all the pumpkins...
This year he pulled it!
Then it was home for nap time and costumes and off to the Trunk or Treat. Mickey, Minnie and Goofy were joined by the Swedish Chef and everyone had a great time listening to all the kids' jokes and watching Liam get a sugar high.

And if all those pictures weren't enough, I had to get some of Liam when we got home with all the fall decorations in the yard. (Of course he had to have his truck nearby!)
It was a wonderful weekend and we are already ready to do it all again next year! Hope everyone is enjoying fall as much as we are!
