Father's Day

We had a low key weekend and Father's Day which I am pretty sure is exactly how Keith likes it. Since we were in Chicago last weekend, will be in Innsbrook next weekend, celebrating my birthday in 3 weekends and out of town for 8 days at the end of July, it was nice to just hang out at home for a bit.
Keith got to pick dinners both nights - chicken curry on Saturday, steak with grilled corn and Cesar salad on Sunday. Strawberry jello poke cake for dessert both nights. Other than that we pretty much hung out and Keith got to watch LOTS of sports.
I didn't have my camera out because I took the batteries out the other day to put them in the most annoying toy for Liam (oh the sacrifices we make...) Here is a picture of Daddy and Liam at the Cardinals game the other night. (We lasted to about the 5th inning with the majority of the time running around the stadium, not actually sitting in our seats.)

We love our Daddy very much and couldn't ask for anyone better.

Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner

For those of you that didn't see my Facebook post, I had a lucky day yesterday. I attended an award ceremony at work and afterwards they drew 3 names of the attendees to win an IPad and my name was pulled!!
I was ecstatic as was Keith. We have been wanting an IPad for along time but since all of our money has been going into savings for a new house, it really wasn't in our future. So needless to say we had lots of fun last night playing with our new toy. Of course I had to look into cases right away and thanks to pinterest found this one.

It is the first one I found, but I love it and I think this will have to be my next purchase. I mean I have to protect my precious win!

On a side note: Keith and I have gone a little crazy in the head and decided we are actually going to attempt to take Liam to another Cardinals game tonight. Let's hope it goes better than the first one!

My 100th Post

Today's post is my 100th! I think that is kind of crazy. Not saying that I have sat down and wrote 100 thought provoking pieces or anything, but just kind of crazy that I have kept up with this blog that long already. I really taking the time to post all of Liam's cute pictures while also giving you all a brief glimpse into our life (even if you all is only my mom and my husband!).

Things are crazy today. We are trying to leave for Chicago for the weekend and getting out of town is not nearly as easy as it used to be. There is the dog, the bags, the extra stuff (high chair, diapers, stroller, etc.), arranging the babysitter and getting the house clean. Did I mention we have a showing today at 2 and an open house on Sunday?!  I wish I wouldn't let these things stress me out and just enjoy the fact that I get to take a half day off work and go see all my family for the weekend!

In the meantime, I will leave you with some pictures from last weekend. We went to the Chinese lantern festival at the Botanical Gardens and it was awesome. I was worried about Liam because they don't light the lanterns till 8 and that is already past his bedtime. He was a champ though! He loved the "fire-breathing" dragons the best. He stay up till almost 10:00 without getting cranky at all, the latest he has ever stayed up before (at least under our watch ;) ).
