They Did It!

The Cardinals won the World Series! So excited to say that they won the year I was born and now they won the year Liam was born. We must be their good luck charms. ;)
While I was kind of jealous of everyone that got to be down town in all the action Friday night while Keith and I enjoyed from the comfort of our couch, we did venture down there yesterday to attend the parade. Although it was very crowded, it was much more Liam's speed. It was a lot of fun to see all the players so excited and to be part of a city with the greatest fans ever.
Here are some pictures.

Pretty bummed I didn't get a picture of all three of us together. I am so bad at that!

Pumpkins and Apples and Wine.. Oh My!

It was a perfect fall weekend. Packed full of pumpkins, apples, good food, wine, awesome weather, fall colors and Halloween costumes.
We spent our time at Innsbrook. On Saturday we visited the pumpkin patch and took a shot a punkin chunkin. So fun! This place will be heaven next year for Liam.

We then attended the Innsbrook trunk or treat. We saw a bunch of great costumes and heard some really good jokes, but Liam was by far the cutest. Again, next year at this thing, he will be the life of the party.

On Sunday, we attempted to go apple picking, but all apples had already been picked. So we purchased some apples, apple butter, pumpkin butter and salsa and headed to the winery instead.

It really was an amazing weekend. So great to spend so much time outside and to spend all our time with family. Liam is one lucky kid and I tell him that almost every day. ;)

We had a wonderful weekend. Lots to post, but I thought I would just give you all a quick and cute sneak peek. Enjoy.

Go Cards!

Thought I needed to give a quick shout out to the Cardinals on my blog! Hope to have a repeat of 2006 (in fact I have my 2006 World Series flag proudly waving in the front of the house.)
Of course 2011 is a little different in the Costello household. In 2006 we were going to bars and staying up late to watch all the playoff games. Now I am lucky if I can hold my eyes open till 10:00 and the couch is the best place to watch the action.
Here is a picture of Liam and I yesterday getting ready to cheer on the home team.
Go Cards!!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was great, but exhausting. We had fun with family and friends, the weather was amazing and of course Liam learned all sorts of new things.

On Friday night, I had a surprise family get together for Keith's 30th at Sage. It is so crazy that Keith is 30 now. That means, I am almost 30. Oh man, the places I thought I would be at 30, but that is a whole different post.

On Saturday, I played Susie Homemaker. I made banana chocolate chip muffins and white chicken chili. I was going to make tortellini soup, but what I thought was going to be a 2 hour nap for Liam was only about 30 minutes long! Daddy had to take him for a walk for me to finish. Everything turned out delicious.

On Sunday we went to watch Daddy play soccer at Forest Park and it was gorgeous out. Liam got to play with his friends Olivia, Evelyn and Avery. While there, he learned how to step up on his stroller, crawl through the grass and even had his first bit of chocolate (completely on accident!). Luckily Heidi was there to take a bunch of pictures for me because I forgot my camera.

Look at his hair in this one!

Also some pictures from our photo shot a couple weeks ago got posted. Check out our photographer's blog.

And lastly this is from this weekend, but here is what my son does at the babysitters. Sleeps on the floor, cuddling with the dog. This would never happen in our household!

We are looking forward to the next couple of weekends. Pumpkins, apples and Halloween!! Then Keith and I leave for Dominican on November 4th. I can't believe it is almost here. I am starting to get some major anxiety about leaving Liam for five days. The longest I have left him has been over night and we were just 20 minutes away. Now we are going to be in a different country. I know Liam will be fine, and I know this probably sounds silly, I am just worried something might happened to us. If anyone has any great advice on how to get through this, please let me know!

Fall Up North

Liam and I enjoyed a great "girls" Columbus day weekend in Harbor Springs. My mom, Aunt Laurie, cousin KC, Liam and I spent Thursday - Monday enjoying awesome weather in Michigan.
Liam was a traveling champ. He slept 3 out of the 4 flights and on the 4th, he was squirmy but didn't make a peep.
The weather was amazing. Highs of like 75 every day. We went for a lot of walks and drank a lot of coffee. Liam enjoyed every minute of it, well except for when it was time to go to bed, but that is another story. He napped in the stroller, in my arms and in the Bjorn. He enjoyed the beach, the sand and the breeze. It was just perfect!
Here are some pictures from our amazing weekend.

So now we are back and Liam is sleeping great again (knock on wood.) Fall here is just not the same. It looks a lot more brown...
