Graham at 5 and 6 Months

Yes, Graham is 7 months now, but here are some cute pictures from 5 and 6 months. Enjoy!

This was his first "school" picture! :)

Hopefully 7 month photos will be more timely... as soon as I take them.

In The Words of Liam

L: Dad, I saw a gray garbage truck. It was carrying trash and poop and heads and peanut butter.

L: I ate all the candy canes and cookies... My tummy's full.

M: Liam eat your breakfast.
L : No, I am too sad to eat.

Uncle Bill: Whats your favorite sport?
L: Chocolate milk and choo choo trains!

L: Uncle JC, you have crazy hair! (directed at his chest hair).

A Liam Update

I was just reading my post from when Liam was 2 and it is crazy how much has changed in 8 months. It is hard to believe that he is closer to 3 than 2 now!

Here's an update on the first born...

First and foremost: Liam is potty trained! This is a wonderful accomplishment. Considering his teacher at school told us like 5 days before Graham arrived that she thought he was ready. We started really potty training when we got back from the hospital. Basically just went with the pull of the band-aid approach and put him straight into underwear. It wasn't the 2 day magical experience that so many moms blog about, but I would say he was completely potty trained in a month. With that being said after about 5 days of having numerous accidents, he started only having one or so accident a day and that was usually with #2. Now he wears a pull up to bed, but other than that, accident free!

Liam still loves going to school! Which is great because there has been a lot of turnover there recently and he now has two brand new teachers. He no longer cries when I drop him off, however he has seen me sneak over to see Graham before and that was a different story.
He loves to pack his backpack to take all of his stuff every morning which usually consists of: soft blanket, doggie, baby, dolphin and a few choice Matchbox cars.

Cars, trucks, fire engines etc are still his toy of choice. We can not get out of Target without a new one so it's a good thing Matchbox cars are less than $1 a piece!
He also loves to play outside and go to the park. He is so independent on the playground, it is scary at times. :) He loves to be pushed on his tricycle to the park but refuses to pedal himself even though I just spied on him at school and saw him pedaling away outside! Daddy and him are constantly in the front yard playing soccer, baseball and hockey, or at least Liam's variation of them.

His temper tantrums have subsided a lot and for the most part, he is a really happy kid! Every once and a while, problems come up and bed time but he is so much better than he used to be. He needs a hug and a kiss from both mom and dad before going to sleep though.

Liam enjoys playing with his cousins, uncles, grandparents etc. He knows everyone's name and is learning if there are girls or boys. :)
He loves singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and his ABCs (although he usually skips T-X) and is getting better at counting (always skips 4). He loves matching and telling us his colors.

And most of all these days, Liam is a great big brother! He loves his "Grammy" or "Graham Bam". He is always concerned with where he is, or if he is sleeping, sick etc. He has become a great helper to his mom and dad (on most days) and always showers him with lots of love.

We are excited for Liam's upcoming 3rd birthday and a move to the 3 year old room at school!

Graham's Baptism

I know I am so far behind, but in attempt to use this blog to capture all important life events for the boys, I am going to go back to November 2nd for Graham's baptism.
We had a wonderful day! Graham's godparents are Uncle JC and Aunt Sara and we are so thrilled for him to have such awesome people in his life.
We had his ceremony after church that Sunday followed by brunch and gifts are our house.

A family picture before the ceremony.
 With Uncle JC.

In the Words of Liam

Admiring the fall display outside of school, points to the Indian corn:
L: "What's this mommy?"
M: "Thats corn."
L: "Oh, punkins eat corn?"

L: "I smell like a fire truck!"

Climbing on the couch arm,
L: "Mom scoot back... I gotta do this!"

M: "Guess who's coming over tonight?"
L: "Pappa??"
M: "No..."
L: "A flashlight!"

Fall Happenings

We have had a REALLY busy and REALLY awesome fall so far. We have attended lots of great events starting with Monsanto family fun day at City Museum. Monsanto really did plan an amazing day for us complete with matching tee shirts!! It was a blast and even better that Liam took a three hour nap when we got home. :)

In addition to a Monsanto family fun day, Scottrade had a family carnival we attended. It was a little chilly out and we were not dress properly but we made the best of the time while we were there. I even won the one carnival game they had there so Liam got a new stuffed dolphin that was his best friend for a few days.

Next up is what has become one of my favorite weekends of the year. We went to Innsbrook for the Trunk or Treat and a trip to the pumpkin patch. Liam and Graham were the cutest pumpkin and fox I have ever seen. This was the first year that Liam actually got into the trick or treating. He loved picking a piece of candy from each person handing out. It was also great to hang out with all our family that night.
The next day we headed to Pumpkins Galore for another beautiful day.

Next event: pumpkin carving at Nonnie's house. Liam did not get into at much as I had hoped but it was still a great time.
We're not done yet... Graham, Liam, Nonnie and I had a wonderful day at the zoo. As soon as we got there, it poured down rain. We were able to duck under a tent just in time. It rained for about 15 minutes and after that, we basically had the zoo to ourself. We enjoyed the train (Graham's first ride) and the baby elephants.

Lastly the boys participated in their daycare Halloween parade and Monsanto had a party for all the kids the day before Halloween. Since it was raining and nasty on Halloween night and we had already participated in so many events, we decided to skip actual Halloween and stayed in and fixed our bathroom sink! :)
And that's not even everything. In between all that, Liam and I went to Disney on Ice, we attended birthday parties and housewarmings, showers and weddings!
It has been an awesome past couple months. We are getting really excited for Graham's first Thanksgiving and Christmas. More to come...
